I admit it - I bought a pirated copy of TYG, just yesterday.
Even though it was a dvd copy, i think they just compiled the 2 vcds into 1 dvd disc. Cost less than 2 USD. The copy was clear enough for my boyfriend to enjoy the movie - especially all the action scenes!
But of course, we will still watch it at the cinema when they show it here in the Phils.
Now I am concerned if they will show locally because of the violence!

The government has very strict rating system - it may come out as rated R. And they might show it after more than a year - like what happend with Ong-bak!

I just finished watching this. I thought the movie had non existent script. There is way too much fighting and way too little character and story. Even for a martial arts film.
Second, For whatever the reason, I felt like Tony Jaa for the first half of the movie fights too tentative. A bit slow. I don't know why. Especially that four minutes uncut sequence. I think that back fired because Tony Jaa was not kicking and fighting his hardest cause he looked scare like he was going to mess up and they have to start all over.
Now, on to the good stuff:
The fight scenes with the Brazilian guy, the broadsword guy and Nathan Jones was awesome. Especially against Nathan Jones. Damn, he must be one of the biggest man I ever met. Tony Jaa was awesome with the double stick, very much like Jet Li.
The best fight sequence however, is when he broke and play with the body of 50 guys with tons of joint locks, breaks, etc. I was on the edge of my seat there...
Overall, a good movie. I say 7.5/10 is a fair score. Not the best martial arts movie ever, or even close, but a very good one if you only care about the action.

irst of all I´m a really huge fan of Martial Art (Movie).
Logically, this film is a must for all fans who love this genre (and of course for all Tony Jaa fans).
I´ve recognized that German fans are in the minority in this forum. Thus, I have to make a call that there are many German fans who loves ONG-BAK and the actor Tony Jaa!
Everyone I know who saw this movie is really enthusiastic about ONG-BAk!!!
They were really awed by the fantastic fighting scene in ONG-BAK.
Somehow I don´t understand why they realeased it THIS year in Germany???!!! Wasn´t the movie made in 2003???
BUT if you are a lucky guy like me who was able to see "Tom-Yum-Gong" they can´t hardly believe that this movie is going to be much , much , much better than ONG-BAK!!!!!
One of the movie´s highlight is the fighting scene in the burning temple against the Capoeira-fighter!
It´s just marvellous!!!
The burning background and the water on the floor... a perfect stage for two outstanding fighters!
But for me personally is the
uncut "4 minute-bone-breaking-scene"
the BEST fighting scene I´ve ever seen on screen!!!!
Forget Kill Bill! Forget Romeo must Die!
After seeing this superb kick-ass scene, you shouldn´t forget to put your jaw back to its old place!!!
BELIEVE ME!!!!!!!!!
Moreover, if you have a girlfriend, you shouldn´t invite her to see this movie because it just hurts by looking at this scene! *lol*
Unfortunately, they will release Tom-Yum-Gong in Germany around 2007!!!!!!
Damn...that is too long!!!!
Nevertheless, this movie is the best matial art movie I´ve seen in the last 5 years!
10/10 --> a perfect score!!!!!!
Ps: Muai Thai Boran rocks!!!
Tony, don´t forget hat you also have huge fans over here in Germany! Although it takes a little bit longer than in other countries to see you in action! *lol*

Even a friend of mine found a clip of the bone breakathon scene on the internet too now that u mentioned the found Tony vs Lateef clip Fesha. Theres even the entire market chase scene of OngBak on ign.com. But anyways i'm still waiting for the release of the official dvd..

The Bone Breaking scene where? can I see it please?
((( J2 )))
Jan 23 2006, 04:41 PM
Yes...I just watched it last night...and it was abseloutley INSANE...A complete Adrenaline Rush...It makes Ong-Bak's fight scenes look girly...Jaa just went off...He pulled moves that I never thought possible...The Bone Break scene was my favorite fight scene in any movie EVER...and I've seen all of Jet Li's, Jackie Chans and Bruce Lee's.
Also...the Kapoera fighting scene was intense just as well...Forget the story...as it did drag and had bad editing...But the fights were the best ever...Tony Jaa is the man...and NO ONE can come close to his skills and dedication.
I'll be watching this over and over again...going to see it at the theaters when it comes to the US...and buy the US DVD too...Tony Jaa...If you read this...Keep up the good work...You are the best of the best!

Waaa! I watched it some time ago on vcd (couldn't wait till like 2008, I live in Norway

).
Unbelievable! Close to Ong-Bak in greatness, only that Tony's opponents was much better. And in Ong-Bak, when the enemies get knocked, most of them fall down like *kick* (lump, bump, splat) while here it's like *SMASH!* *crash*
*pow!*
After I watched it I got up and YAAAAAH!!! ran into the living and beat up the air, the chairs and the floor and myself

I'm so childish
