zhang yimou to unite jet li & jackie chan ? - 17TH.AUG.05
During an interview with Chinese newspaper Nanfang Daily, director Zhang Yimou's partner producer Zhang Weiping said they were still working on the script for the long-awaited project with Jackie Chan and they might even ask Jet Li to join the cast as well. Zhang Weiping said this film would show a completely new Jackie Chan and would not be another Jackie Chan comedy. Jackie Chan is very excited by the project but Jet Li has said he would not do any more martial art films unless he finds a really good script. Both of them said they had been looking for an opportunity to work in the same film. Zhang Yimou will do his third martial art film with Chow Yun-Fat and Gong Li first and the shooting will begin in February next year.

Cool Sibor. Very interesting news. However, this has been rumored for some times. It has been listed for more than a year on jetli.com and upcomingmovies.com (under Jackie Chan's upcoming projects). Here's the link:

However, the news I got so far was that it was to be a Hollywood production, under Revolutions Studios, instead of it being Asian directed and produced. I'm crossing my fingers for Zhang Yimou.

The idea of adding the Jaa Man into the team for a fearsome threesome on the bad guys really would be awesome. Especially for comedy.

Think, you have Chan, the comic, Li, the serious one, and Jaa...the guy who they cant even understand the language of! Throughout the entire film they have no clue what he is saying (the audience gets subtitles, bar those who know Thai obviously)

I really feel that would be hysterical to see, although Jaa's style of movie fighting might clash with theirs in choreography.

that would be awesome to see the three of them fighting together...but trying to picture them speaking their language like jackie and jet speak contonese and jaa speaking thai...o_O why not just speak english since all three of them know english..eh oh well *shrugs shoulders*

As far as I know Jaa is still learning English. Sawatdee would know more, she's talked to him.

He had english lessons before but he's too busy now and he doesn't have the occasion to practice everyday. His english is quite good but probably not enough to shoot a film in english language. Anyway I'm sure he'll improve quickly!
