The title is change to Thai Warrior as oppose to Muay Thai Warrior which I would not perfer to call it that because it doesn't lets people know about the style. I like the music in the background. Unlike the Korean promotion, it doesn't diss Jackie, Bruce and Jet which is cool but it made reference to them without dissing them.
http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/ong_bak-tlr.html/I predict Ong Bak fever is going to take US by storm. I'll bet you once this movie comes out, you will be seeing alot more people on this forum.

Hmmm.... I still think that "Thai Warrior" don't have the same impact as "Muay Thai Warrior"
But then again.... few in the US know what "Muay Thai" IS.
This title change makes it to a thai fighter rather to a muay thai user fighter

I agree. My mistake on my last post. I meant Muay Thai Warrior sounds better. I can understand why they added a secondary title because to the average americains, they won't understand the signifcants behind the word "Ong Bak", where as Thai will know it. I like the way they are promoting it with its No CG, No Strings etc like before. The trailer doesn't really explain what the plot is about. Its all about the action.

Hey,
there are a lot of good movies over here,, except , they are not really ones that hollywood pushes... oh well..
but, so you know,
I think ONG Bak will be played mainly in art houses with a few suburban multiscreen theaters. (about 200-100) screens only. unlike big films (spiderman had almost 4000 screens).
but martial arts and film geeks, like me, will go check it out and bring a freind. the word of mouth is what will make the movie big.
So far, the few video stores that i lent the dvd to , purchased teh dvd and the rental is out a lot. Thats good for an audience who cant stand subtitles. They are now saying they cant wait for the english version so they dont have to read.
(dumb bastards).
You are a bit right , i'd say mainstream doesnt knw Muay thai, but they want to learn after this.
