Ive watched to yum goong about 20 times now and have started to notice mistakes.
When kam is fighting in the warehouse he gets hit by about ten glass tubes just after that you can see the right side of his head is bleeding. Then when you see his face again a few seconds after there is no blood anymore.
If anybody finds anymore mistakes post them here so i can find them plz.
It may seem bizzare but its somthing i like to do ,so i can see how or if the direction improves in the future.

hi Arek, this was probably a safety precaution that the australian film crew insisted on. prachya pinkaew said that the australian film crew was very strict about things like that.

I have found another mistake. Also in the warehouse When kam does a backflip and lands in a handstand and shimmys across the wall. The wall he lands on is meant to be solid when he lands on the platform the wall moves.I know this is only a safety precaution but its still looks like a mistake.

Yes You are right I seen it :). And I found next mistake...
When that guy on the motor i chasing him he jump left leg on the train and right leg on fence then we see that he is doing backflip and his right hand is straightened and 1 sekund later both hands are straightened (maybe it's ok but I don't think so ;]) (ehh... my bad english again

I understood everything you said,I will look for that scene in the movie later,.The part when he does the backflip,i think it is supposed to look like solid wall because of the way it is painted blue and has the yellow and black on the bottom.
Thanks arek , if i find any more mistakes i will let you know.

oh and i dont think the part when the guy on the motorbike is chasing him and he puts his right leg on the fence and his left on the tram and does a backflip with one hand stretched out is a mistake.I think that is the way tony jaa does backflips.

But thank you very much for telling me.

YES there is c.g.i in tom yum goong .There isnt any c.g.i in any of the fight scenes, but there is some in the speedboat chase and the cool one when kahm is dreaming.I wasnt impressed with the c.g.i when he is walking across the bridge with the baby elephant.

not sure if yall posted this, cause i just felt liek saying it myself :)
in the final fight scene, right when tony jaa gets up from the elephant witht he 2 bones, he jumps on that mans shoulders and hits him with both
you can see, the man is actually holding jaa up...
ive seen tom yum goong almost half as many times as ive seen "the new guy" (which i literaly watch one of the versions every day, and if i miss i literall will watch it more than once in 1 day) i only watch movies @ night though.

yes ive seen that part but it still looks cool even thou he puts his arms out to grab him. When you watch the making of tom yum goong it only took tony about 3 atempts to get it rite.

I have found more mistakes ,The part when he does the 2 footed jump over the car in the warehouse just after look at the floor you can see the crashmats ,when he gets on top of the minivan and does the backwards summersault kick on the guy behind look at the floor again in the background there is now 6 guys on the floor ,There was only 2 guys there after the first 2 footed jump.
Also the part that sawatdee mentioned is true,When he fights johhny at the top of the restaurant the rope on his hand does change from shot to shot,First he wraps it around his wrist a few moments later it is covering his whole hand.

muay_plam, I think they should hire you for the next film!
Eddie Murphy
Feb 18 2006, 03:39 PM
How about the part where he fights Lateef Crowder dos Santos (capoeira fighter).
At the last part of the fight Tony kicks the guy off screen, and the fight ends all of a sudden (Tony continues fighting the guy with the sword).
But during the rest of the scene there is not a single shot of the capoeira fighter laying on the floor or whatever.
I thought that sucked, cause I kept thinking that the Capoeira fighter would get up eventually but he vanished somehow.
hauntofmars
Feb 18 2006, 06:21 PM
I think this is beacuse they were not able to finish the scene with Lateef due to an injury, i heard a rumor that he broke a bone during filming this scene. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

Feb 19 2006, 12:22 AM
Yes it is true i watched the making of tom yum goong a while ago ,He slipped in the water and broke his ankle.Tony wrote a message for him in english on a peice of paper afer the accident i cant remember what it said. it was somthing like "get well soon latiff your friend tony jaa".
Sawatdee i wish i could sit down with the guys and have a chat

i wonder if some of these mistakes would have been resolved if prachya was able to edit the movie the way he wanted to, instead of the way sia jiang wanted it.
muay_plam
Feb 19 2006, 03:36 PM
Good point ,but the editors were probably not expecting the hardcore fans like us to inspect the movie in such a way. When i first watched the film i didnt notice any mistakes,it was only when i started playing the scenes in slow motion that i started to notice little mistakes.Anyway lets hope they get i right in the next movie.

I have found some more mistakes in the ware house when he is doing the handstand against the wall if you look down the crashmats are visible again also the coulour of tonys pants change all the way through the movie from blue to grey it is most noticeable when he is running along the rooftop at the end.Does anybody know who the guy is that stands infront of the camera for a couple of seconds he is wearing sunglases and drinks from a bottle and has a guitar on his back (i thinks it a guitar)he looks famous!

The guy served as a cameo/look alike for Sek Loso. He is indeed a famous Thai singer and musician. I think he is also a spokesman and promoter of the M-150 energy drinks like that bill board you saw in the boat chase scene. Its where the boats cut through the bill board. lol.

The boat scene

i always fast forward that part i thought it was pointless. It starts of good then it gets a bit silly esspecially the part when the 2 boats hit the helicopter and float in mid air lol.
JAAJAA
Mar 7 2006, 05:03 AM
The point of the boat scene is "Tony's escaping".
The point of the 2 boats crashing the helicopter is "Tony managed them all".
I found that Johny Nguyen uesed stand in when he fought Tony on the top floor. He really acted when he kicked Tony. But the stand in got kicked by Tony for him. This proves that Tony always kicks for real.

johnny now, so they must protect his face!

Mar 7 2006, 05:14 PM
lol i know that danny! I know the reason for it i just mean they dont have to put a vehicle chase in every movie, the tuk tuk chase in ong bak was allot better.Plus they used c.g.i in some parts on the boat scene which totaly spoiled it.Thats what i mean.
He half escapes in that scene anyway, after the boats hit the helicopter you can,t see where he goes.
I new about that part you mentioned before i even watched the movie on the making of which as a bit of a spoiler at the time

.
They done a pretty good job of hiding it cause you can only get a clear shot of the stunmans face after he does the elbow.I found the stuntman at the end of ong bak in place of sa ming was more noticeable than that.
Does that johhny guy really know vietnemese kung fu in real life? Or is he just an actor?
