Did you know bruce lee was highly influenced by muay thai and incorperated it into his expression of jeet kune do?

Dan also goes onto say that muay thai is an important part of everybodys martial arts career.

I guess this comes bit late, but I just found this topic. I read the interview, and what Inosanto said proves that in the end, Bruce didn't have as deep knowledge of the different martial arts as people tend to think. He didn't even finish his training in Wing Chun before he started to create his Jeet Kune Do. I think Inosanto is actually more mature as a martial artist than Bruce ever was, and he contributed to JKD more than people care to admit.

What Inosanto said about the physical condition of the instructors he's training was bit surprising. I know muay Thai is very demanding physically, but that those guys are martial arts instructors and can't finish the muay Thai-course because it's too demanding...?

The topic starter of this thread??

Anyway, yeah Dan is the man. Anybody who truly knows of Bruce and truly loves him has great respect for Dan Inosanto. He is a very good martial artists and human being. Him and Bruce really learned from eachother. He has been more than wonderful and carryin on the ideas of JKD after Bruce's death. He is also a better teacher, undoubtedly. I love watching him in Game of Death, his fight with Bruce is actually my favorite. Both men truly shine, of course,Bruce does stand out a little more with the skill and that extra charisma.

Hmm..I may not even have noticed. I did check these boards out a lot before I joined to see how the participation was. Generally I think everybody here seems to be a good person, but like I have said, I have no idea what happened so I accept my ignorance, lol.

012_huh.gif Really! I did´nt know that! And I did ´nt realize that muay thai is part of formation in every martial artist either. Thank you for the information. I was amazed when you said that Bruce Lee was based in muay thai as part of his jeet kune do style. Well I have to study muay thai deeply.
