As promised!

TYG: the new generation of Thai action movie!!!
Yesterday afternoon (Jan 18th, 2005) at Shangri-La Hotel, there was a press conference of the movie TYG, by Sahamonkol film and Ba-Ram-Ewe Company. In the conference hall, which was filled with reporters and the TYG staff like Tony Jaa, Nathan Jones, Tak Bogkoj, Panna Rittikrai, Prachya Pinkaew?
Tom Yum Goong (TYG) is the second largest budget of Thai movie history (US$5million), which the first movie was Suriyothai. The movie synopsis is about the guy named ?Kham? has to go to Australia to retrieve his beloved elephants that was supposed to offer to the king (you guys already known the detail of this movie somewhere in this forum, so I?m not gonna talk much about it)
The movie is in production and it?s almost done; only 10% remain unproduced, especially the fight scene between Jaa and Nathan Jones. It is very challenging to design the fight scene with the guy who has a huge body and almost 200cm height.
Panna told the reporters that he has been thinking about it all the time about the fight scene. He laughed a little bit and said ?when you look at Jaa and Nathan, you can simply say that Jaa can?t beat Nathan for sure, the problem is how to design the fight scene that Nathan will be dead!!? At this point Nathan looked at Panna and made a frighten face. (hahaha.)
In addition, the action will include Muay Thai, Muay Kojchasan* (Boxing style that has mimicked from the elephant movement), Wusu* (typo?), Capoeira (Brazilian style), and K1
The highlight of this movie is the 4 minutes unedited fight scene (non-stop), the problem was, if there?s any mistake during the fight, they had to begin and start to take it again. It took 3-4 days filming just for this 4 minutes fight scene. (Can?t wait to seeee!!!)
After the interview, Jaa had generously showing us some fight scenes in the movie, it?s called Muay Kojchasan* which emphasized on grabbing and breaking (please look at the picture)
The movie will be released on August 11, 2005 in Thailand.
End of the translation!!!!!!

(Here is the translation from comment # 23, he said that he went to the press conference and here is what he told us:
?At first I was afraid that this movie might copy the concept of Ong Bak, because in Ong Bak the picture was too dark and presented in the warm tone (yellow and brown)
Yet, the continuous of the fight scene in Ong Bak was not smooth that much and that worried me a bit. However, when I saw the clip of TYG, I must say I am very satisfied!, the pictures that has been captured on film was in a very international level. The fight scene looked brutal and fast, yet very beautiful. And I have seen many fight scenes that I have not seen in Ong Bak.
That?s all folks!
