so after yesasia.com stopped selling the korean TYG DVD, i ordered it from sensasian.com, a new affiliate of tonyjaa.org
i ordered it on 13 april, and have finally received it today 2 may. so first of all, it has taken quite a while for me to receive it; much longer than any other website i've bought from. on the website, it said the dvd ships in 3-4 days; i received a shipment notification email on 25 april. it took them nearly 2 weeks 2 ship my dvd. the shipment notification indicated that it would take 8-15 days for the dvd to arrive.
it's an official dvd, so there's no question that it is high-quality. i'm watching it in the background right now as i type this. the picture quality is fine; comparable to the thai dvd i think. the subtitles seem to be translated pretty well; i've only gotten through the first 30 minutes so far. the only problem i'm having is that sometimes the subtitles are stretched too far across the screen and appear truncated (the first and last word of the sentence extend beyond the sides of the screen). this only happens some times, as most of the time long sentences are split into 2 different lines. maybe the editors made some mistakes when they added the subtitles? i hope that this does not indicate that the actual video is not properly sized. oh, and regarding subtitles: it's nice to have subtitles to be able to understand mum jokmok's atrocious attempts at english.
i have not watched any of the bonus features yet (i haven't even finished watching the movie).
so the product itself is great, as expected. the service at sensasian.com leaves something to be desired; it took them 12 days to ship my dvd (instead of 3-4), and overall it took 19 days for the dvd to finally arrive.
