C'on man
elbows and knees are main material of Muay Thai. but I heard Jaa said in Thai TV show months ago, that is in TYG he willing to put an other Thai material art, That mean all of us may be see Jaa use some of Thai weapons stuffs, like Krabee-Krabong ( swords and a long bludgeons) and ancient Thai material art like Muay kachasarn (Muay Thai in elephant style), thats cool....

hmmm... RoB if you don't use knees and elbows then it won't be much of a Muay Thai movie... more like a more brutal form of kickboxing... and we don't want that do we?
But my question is.... why is the movie title a food name? anyone know?
Tom Yum Goong meaning Spicy Prawn Soup

OK.... this is my guess.
Thai government is trying to push Thai food and Thai kitchen all around the world. Most of popular Thai foods are Phad Thai, TomYumKoong, Tom Kha, etc.
I think the movie's name is kind of one of the plan for promoting Thailand and Thai food. Actually, the name itself can promote the movie also since TomYumKoong is already popular in many countries.
Another guess is Jaa fighting is like TomYumKoong: Hot spicy and kick ass.

Well if you go to Thailand then you can get Tom Yum Goong just about... uhm... anywhere.
But I DO belive there are some Thai resturants in that part of France where you live isn't it? There should be and if there is then you can say that you want one Tom Yum Goong Thai style, very spicy

if get that then be prepared for a VERY spicy affair.... Even too much for me, lol.
Anyways I'm sure SimplyWorld or Ongkot can be of more help to you exactly WHERE in Thailand... I only know about 2 cities where I can like REALLY tell you, and I'm not even sure Krung Thep (Bangkok) even counts since it's just WAY too big. It would kinda like asking for a french bakery in Paris I'd imagine.

Yupp, Pii Ongkot is right... You'll even find Tom Yam Goong even at small streetshops... They are also quite good, altho most westerners might think it's unhygenicaly... But like he said. Just about ANY resturant with a Thai CHEF will be able to make the Tom Yam Goong.
And if you go in a Thai Resturant in France, then please do as Pii Ongkot said: "Sawasdee Kah", and like he said, it WILL pitt a smile on theirs face..... hopefully because you pronounced it right and not because it sounded funny
Just for Gods sake don't say "Sawasdee Kaph" like me and Ongkot... well you CAN but then it's just the same as telling the entire Resturant that you are a Tomboy/lesbian
Don't worry, you'll do fine!

OK! then the next topic here would be "Recent Asian food eaten and ratings"
Please let us know how the soup was. But one thing that I have seen here.... Tom Yam being the soup you see... Goong being the shrimp. If you don't like the shrimp you could have something other in it. But Tom Yam Goong is the most usual one.
I think I've had Tom Yam Moo once.... It's pigs meat instead of shrimp.
But a non-Thai would have no way of knowing what that it, so be carefull

TYG is the story of Kham (Tony jaa) that stayed north part of Thai (Surin) and look after elephant group (the farmer who was feed the elephant) and his elephant was stolen to Aus so that why he came to Aus for searching them.
TYG is the name of shop that was control by Asian gangster who is stolen elephant for sell them.

I actually seen the title of TYG last week, it just 3 minute title for the other movie that same company, I do not want to see that movie but I willing to pay for TYG title and that was grate.
What I saw in the title :
1) The screen shot that shown who is Kham (Jaa) with his elephant farmer crew.
2) The fighting stye is differance from OB, Jaa use old stye thai fighting with new created fighting stye.
3) Jaa was jump with drop kick almost 5 - 7 meter to the Gangster.
sorry that if my english not so good but I will happy to report what happen in Thai.
