the por part corresponds to ป. ...and someone will have to give me a confirmation for this. i think it means grade level, such as elementary school grade level, which might imply that muay thai gym is essential education. the other possibility is that it refers to a graduate of theology, and that pramuk might be the name of the founder of the gym; almost like saying "pramuk, ThD"
LOL OMG!
Buakaw Fan's comment really made my day! LOL
What anurak said was correct except that in this case ป. does not mean any of graduate things. It's just a name of the gym. The entire name of the gym is Por. Pramuk.
But LOL, ohh my, squid king. LOL

Ohh sorry, I forgot about pronunciation for Por (for father) and Por (for Por. Pramuk)
ok.
First, Por (which means father) pronounces with soft 'p' like '
pin'.
Por (in Por. Pramuk) is a hard 'p' like when you pronounce 's
poon'.
These two spelled exactly the same in English letters. But in Thai, they are totally different things. There are not enough English letters to represent all thai pronunciation. So, many of them need to have the same look.
