Full Version: Sound effects
TonyJaa.org Forum > Tony Jaa on screen > Tom Yum Goong
Field Master
Tom Yum Goong has some really exaggerated sound effects when a strike connects. I think they sound ace, especially during the bone breaking scene, but they make the film look a bit less realistic. Ong-Bak on the other hand has less pronounced sound effects but they are more like the sounds that would occur when you really hit someone. Which do you prefer?

Especially the bone breaking scene. 19_tongue.gif
I think that the sound effect of TYG, especially the bone breaking scene, made Tony looks amazingly stronger.

The sadly song of the bone breaking scene really touch my heart, some times i used to hear that kind of songs.
But ong bak songs are really better, remember the cave scene ?

TYG. After watching it with an extra high bass volume on a high end speakers set, now I can't live without it.

PS. Sadly those speakers belong to my friend. rofl.gif

doesn't it depend on which version you watch? the sounds effects were re-edited in different versions, right?
Lola
I´ve watched two versions of Ong Bak and both were different.
But anyway I like the sound of Ong Bak more,
because TYG has (in german version!) a very electronic sound.
Such sound is cool, but is was TOO abstract to me.
