Thanks for the link, TJF!

The female host of the show seemed surprised that Tony brought an interpreter (was it me or did every translation seem to end with "the first time"?), but he fielded her questions smoothly. The MTV audience being what it is, I think they should have shown a clip from Ong-Bak featuring more of Tony's amazing flips or kicks. Nice little promo overall.

That was cute because the VJ and that other dude spoke so much slang that I thought he probably didn't understand them at all!

That's the first time I've ever watched MTV. I don't think that girl did that good of an interview it seemed like she didn't have any questions planned?

Thanks a lot TonyJaafan,

The video is very cool but too short !!
He looks like excited, no ? He moved arms a full time... So nice !!

It was good but it was to short. They didnt ask him that many questions.

I'm a little bit disappointed about that video. Tony Jaa didn't talk a lot, he was really excited (nervous ?). Actually, you can call it "RZA coming on MTV with Tony Jaa".

I'm just woundering, it seems like he understands english well enough, but he just can't speak it.

Or maybe he just doesn't feel confident speaking it in public yet?

that could be true too. or maybe they give him the questions in Thai before he goes out...who knows. maybe a question we could ask if he comes back, eh?(I believe he will come back sometime 02_biggrin.gif )

this is not so strange to me. i speak thai fairly fluently, but i certainly understand a lot more than i am able to speak. when listening, if there is a word i don't know, i can usually figure it out in the context of everything else that is spoken. but if i don't know the word i am trying to speak, there's just no way for me to say it!
Vanessa
I understand some Gealic, but can't speak it(I just find it hard to pronounce the words). I guess it works both ways.
I only know how to say our Family motto in Gealic haha

Aww man the link doesn't work on my computer. Could you upload this again? I'd love to see Jaa on MTV! That would be so cool.

Dang...I didn't even know he came to MTV!

if you read the comments that people left, you'll get the impression that it wasn't special. tony didn't speak much; mostly it was RZA talking. don't wory; you're not missing much. there's MUCH better interviews / appearances that you can look at.

Hi The Student,

Lola
I really don´t like the way the host speaks.
It sounds to like...
"Ooohhhhh yeeeeeaaaaaah... RZA stands beside me that´s why I´m sooooooooooo cool
and I try to talk like him, like a rapper or like a guy in general."
I imagine her in a nice evening dress talking like that... 1f.gif
Please guys say that this is not the way a lady sounds in US!! 09_dry.gif
German youth uses to sound like this very often
and I´m so sick of hearing girls talking like guys!!
How must that sound to Tony?? Unpolite??
If I was him, I would be very confused, because he sounds very politely!
It´s amazing what differences are between the sound of a language are in the world,
and I mean the way of talking, not the language itself.
But Tony could have said more, that´s true... 0067.gif
ugh... I needed to write that down, although it´s offtopic, I´m sorry for that!! 0067.gif 23_whistling.gif
But it makes me so tard.gif 87_ranting.gif

it's not off-topic; it's still about the video! anyway, i agree with everything you said. it hurts my ears.

i definitely don't like this interview. there are much better ones out there.

I think it's just her STYLE.

And I don't understand what a "nice evening dress" doing here with an MTV MC ...

Just my opinion 01_smile.gif
