i wish there is a function that allows people to see if people are in the chat room while they are browsing this forum..

Yeah I will try to find an another chat where we can see if someone is connected. Yesterday I was alone on the chat so I was doing another things and I didn't heard that someone connected during that time ! Sorry Danny héhé :blush:. I will try to find a solution soon.

Just wanted to input that I agree that something on the board indicating how many people (and preferably their usernames) are in the chatroom would be invaluable. I kinda gave up hanging around in the chatroom awhile ago, would be happy to return once a new chatroom is up!

I'm looking for a chat who indicate on the forum how many people are online but it's hard to find. If someone has an idea...

I know it can be done, because I used to frequent a posting board that used that type of chatroom display. Unfortunately, that msg board (used to be at www.bigbad.net) has since gone down.

I found a good chat (Flashchat) but I'm hopeless in php code and I don't know how to display the number of user online on the main page of the forum. If someone can help me, please send me an email to sawatdee@tonyjaa.org or a PM. Thanks a lot !

Just a thought that popped into my head, but what if we were to pick a time that worked for the majority of people, if possible, where any who wanted to come and chat could?

What I mean is picking a certain date out of each month where there would almost certainly be SOMEONE in the chatroom? What do you guys think? Yay? Nay?

The other thing is, you can email someone, and keep in touch that way too. I have emailed members from their profiles before. Have kept in touch that way too.

I am a novus with this chat room thing (the one at the top left-hand side of the page). I tried clicking on it at the top, but I couldn't figure it out!!! What am I doing wrong??...

True true^.^ Even both! As far as how the chat works. As far as I know, all you do is click the 'chat' button and it will bring up a page that will ask for a user id and below that is a 'connect' button and voila! It should bring you to a chat room. ^.^

And I'll just say this right now because I know that some people are particular about emails from others...I truly don't mind getting emails randomly. ANYONE is welcome to email me^.^ I mean, how are we to make friends otherwise?

This website has PHP chat scripts. If those aren't to good, then maybe the website can help you with it's tutorials.

The chat is open ! See the link in the bar on the top of the page
There's a link to see who is online but I didn't succeed to put it on the main page of the forum. If you are a forum member no need to register in the chat room, simply use your forum nickname and password. If you are not a forum member you must register on the board to have access to the chat room.

I can't seem to log back in or log out of the chat. When I try to login, it says I'm already in there! Sawatdee! Need your help!

Try to delete cookies on the forum (look at the index's foot) and on your computer, restart it and try again to login. Hope it works

Hmm...I'm not sure why then. Perhaps it's just this computer at work. My home computer is down at the moment because of a viral problem we've had with it, so once it's up and running I'll have to try the chat room there. I'm sure it'll work fine then. Thanks anyways^.^
