So far, I like the Thai movie "Shutter". It is so scary and the plot is really good too. You may want to check it out:

Hmm, it seems that no one else is interested in this kind of films... except of us.
I don't have my favourite horror, but I definitely don't like films with litres of blood. Zombie's theme is also boring - there were so many films directed about them, that watching another one is too much for me. I think films based on Stephen King's novels are pretty good (e.g. Shinning). Recently I've seen Storm of the Century ( it's divided into three parts in Polish television and I have to wait till next Friday to see the last part

). I enjoyed watching The Grudge - it's a Japanese horror and it was really scary. I'd like to see Dark Water. It's a Japanese film as well and I heard it's good. Have anybody seen it?

your not alone on these particular genre of movies, i grew up watching the stephen king novels that are adapted to films, i like them alot, very psychological for the mind and i like his endings where they make you wonder why it happened hehehee

i grew up watching his movies and george romero's and tobe hooper's i miss the 80's films almost every genre to me was better back then. don't know but it just appealed to me more, maybe its because they are using the computer technology too much in movies now and i really liked the make up effects more often and things of that nature. oh well thats my two cents of a sorry ass reply, later people lol

I like the make up they had better then the stuff now in the 80's(most of zombie movies) I really like imported horror movies because they dont use computer technology for their movies and they have original plots.I remember watching "the it" when I was 7 I could sleep for weeks.

I have the thai movie shutter with english subtitles, its the HK DVD.
I liked the movie a lot, the acting is very good, and the movie does not look cheap, as thai horror movies often do..
I also saw another one not long ago called sisters, that was good, but did look cheap.
My fav (asian) Horror movie is;
The Eye
Actually i have about all the asian horror movies from japan/HK/korea on DVD that I could find on dvd the last few years

Me too I have lots of asian horror movies. I have the eye 1 and 2. The eye 1 is better than the second one because it had more scarier parts and a bettter story line.
Have you seen eye 2?

hey have ya'll seen Kairo also known as Circuit??? nice Japanese horror flick here i typed the synopsis for you. not sure where you can find it but i'm sure its out there to order, because it was released back in 2001 i think.
After one of their friends commits suicide, strange things begin happening to a group of young Tokyo residents. One of them sees visions of his dead friend in the shadows on the wall, while another's computer keeps showing strange, ghostly images. Is their friend trying to contact them from beyond the grave, or is there something much more sinister going on?
you might like it, check it out. k i found it on yesasia.com here is the link to it
