OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH!!!! etc.
Well speaking of movies here AND horror movies here.
Many of you probably don't know but the most popular genes of movies in Thailand are comedy and horror... and the newest Horror movie "Shutter" from Thailand seems VERY good.
check out the trailer
www.shuttermovie.com
Also a twisted combination of both Horror and Comedy was made in the Thai movie "Headless Hero 2" no homepage, I didn't know if I was to laugh or hide, lol... neatly made.

Hey, have you seen "The Grudge"? It's not very bloody, but it keeps in suspense. Oh, and that horrific sound made by the creature... You'll be

I've never heard about that film or perhaps it has a different title in my country. What is it about?

Perhaps in your country it called "The Book of The Dead"
This is the synopsis (from
http://us.imdb.com)--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Five friends go up to a cabin in the woods where they find unspeakable evil lurking in the forest. They find the Necronomicon and the taped translation of the text. Once the tape is played, the evil is released. One by one, the teens become deadly zombies. With only one remaining, it is up to him to survive the night and battle the evil dead."--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ju-on is better than the grudge. But Ju-on two is better than Ju-on one. I also have the two part series of ju-on> it explains what happened before the first Ju-on.

Thanks for the information, Xiphos. I knew The Grudge is a remake, but I had no idea that there are two parts of Ju-on. I have to look for them.

Don´t you guys like the exorcist? man that´s one of the best horror movies of all time...made in a time where horror movies were not only bloodshed and stuff like that....it has very psychological deepness too

i advise u to see it...it´s creepy
Andoiel
Feb 22 2005, 08:27 PM
Yeah, it was really good. The second part wasn't so scary. There are rumours that a curse rests with this film, because nine people who were involved in production died.
Did you know that substance which poured out of the girl's mouth was pea soup?
EyeOfTheTiger
Feb 22 2005, 10:39 PM
yeah well the movie made me so interested that i ended up searching on the net everything about it...the way they came up with things and stuff...it was really really good!!
That part of the vomit was so discusting blearghhhh

but wonderful!! they really achieved the great objective of causing panic and tension within the audience ...

fantastic!!

Andoiel
Feb 23 2005, 08:22 AM
No, I haven't seen it yet. It's a quite new film. Recently I've read that the director had a car accident during shooting this film. The curse comes back
EyeOfTheTiger
Feb 23 2005, 01:09 PM
I saw "The Beginning" already and it´s quite good...it´s more of a suspense movie than terror itself but it´s very good...great atmosphere, a great journey telling the story of Father Merrin when he still was a young priest and the discovery of the demon that posessed Regan
Xiphos
Feb 23 2005, 09:46 PM
I think the first exorcist was the best.
EyeOfTheTiger
Feb 24 2005, 12:23 AM
Of course it was..it was made back in 1973, in a time where no horror movies were made and it caused a huge impact in the audience because people weren´t used to those type of movies then...some even had heart attacks and faints in the cinemas
But it really is one of best horror movies of all time ..it is up there...in the Top 5...definetely

It came out about 3 years ago. Its about this girl who is blind and one day she get a sergery so she can see. But the eyes belonged to a girl who could see ghosts but she killed her self. So now the the girl who was blind can see ghosts. It is pretty scary.

This film can be interesting. It reminds me "The Sixth Sense", but the main actor didn't get any surgery - he simply had a gift. Actually it's not a horror, rather a thiller, but the ending is so suprising that the film is worth watching. Did you see it?

Yeah. Atmosphere was great and the film kept in suspense. As I mentioned before the ending totally surprised me. I didn't expect that Bruce Willis was a ghost as well. M. Night Shyamalan also directed "Signs", but hadn't a chance of watching it. I only heard that it's not as good as "The Sixth Sense".

oh also, their are two versions, one is the edited version, but the one on that site i listed there is the uncut edition of this particular movie so all the blood and gore is intact. oh yeah, nice cashan(casshern) pic xiphos

and also the u.s. release has recently been updated and has gone from AN NC-17 rating down to an R so sounds to me like they possibly might edite some of the gore but don't quote me on that for sure yet till i hear more about it.

As a big fan of the game, I REALLY appreciated Silent Hill.
Mmm.. In fact it is the horror/suspense/bloody movie I appreciated the most since a long time.
My top 3 of all-time, all tied up at 1 :
1. Braindead
1. Evil dead 1 ( or book of the dead, damn I was terrified when I was a kid. I watched it at like 7 years old and it took me 3 or 4 days to get back from it lol! )
1. Silent Hill ( Unique in his kind, I like the content of the movie ; music, sounds, ambiance, ideas, "outsiders", actresses )
The moderns :
Resident Evil 1, 28 days later and Dawn of the dead are 3 movies I liked very much too, but not as much as my top 3.
Saw and Saw 2 were original movies but I don't consider em as horror movies. There are no "outsiders".
I also appreciated the recent Texas Chain Saw Massacre. I was at the "première" and the suspense in the audience was at a high level. Well done for this.
It is a way more Action than horror but Aliens are movies I like very much too. Sigourney is great in those, and the content is quite interesting.

Also i Like
Night Corridor
Vaastu Shastra
Kaal
The Hills Have Eyes
Ju On
Versus
Halloween
Bangkok Haunted
