


i was watching the making of ong bak video, and i want to share this with you...: when tony does this kick, he has incredible power. he's not just doing acrobatics, and letting the stuntman make it look good. to put so much power into this kick is extremely difficult. try doing it, without the flip... lie down on your back, and lift both your legs so they are about half a meter above the ground. now pull your feet towards the ground as fast and hard as you can. now imagine what if you were in the middle of a standing front flip!

one of my sifu's (kung fu teacher) friends, who is also a sifu, remarked that he was amazed at how rooted tony is for many of his moves (not this one, obviously). tony is not just performing for the camera, he is using really good technique! i know this is not a surprise for anyone, but i thought people might like to know that everyone in the martial arts community i know who has seen this movie believes that tony jaa is the real deal!
