nice find!

I have the VCD from Singapore and DVD from Thailand (no subtitle in English).
The VCD has awful color and in one scene you can see the boom mike. In the tuktuk chase, you can see the crane lifting the tuktuk.
Interesting that there's a Hong Kong version. I will try to get a copy as well.
Thanks for the link!

thank you

i have the thai vcd and dvd, and they are both pretty good and probably the best versions, but i also purchased an RS Version (Red Sun) that might the expected bootleg version they are talking about the HK version, but this version is very well done and the subtitles seem to be like the Edko VCD version, and the picture and sound are actually very good so its up to you on which one you'd like to buy. 01_smile.gif and also that Redsun version has Dolby Digital 5.1 only but overall sounds good.

The Thai DVD is good , however the french DVD is better and probably the best Ong Bak DVD since it gathers both the thai version and the french version.I like both versions (as there are some flaws in the original version that were fixed in the french one).Besides, the making of is rather long (it lasts 50 minutes ) and there are some extras bonus that are only in the french DVD.
According to what I read, the HK version is a bad copy.Correct me if I am wrong though.

not sure but i have a copy By Red Sun an american based company and i think its like the hk but it has the same things the thai version has and the picture quality is still the same as the thai version, so i'm not sure if this other copy i have is this HK version we are referring too *lol* 02_biggrin.gif

siber:
The french version is not the best for that simple reason:
This has not the original thai version.
The thai version presented in the french dvd is a cut one.

MOre the making off is not as long as the original wich has almost all the scene (including the touk-touk chase, tree climbing and other)+ deleted scenes ad some other bonuses.

I borrowed a dvd from a friend and it had chinese (I am pretty sure) and english subtitles below it. It had so much swearing in it. Wow. It made the movie funnier though.

The original Thai version also has lots of swearing. 01_smile.gif

Are you sure ?
Have you watched the thai DVD ?
When comparing the thai version with the french one in the french DVD,the french version has cut scenes (such as the end). All in all, why would the thai version of the french DVD have been cut ? It makes no sense.
I'd like a confirmation 16_shock.gif
