HI everyone!

I am very fascinated and excited by Tony Jaa and believe that TYG can make $100 million in worldwide sales if not alot more! Why? Because of the simple fact that he is great and word of mouth is great, and exit poles are generally top marks!

Also $100 million for a movie shown in America is an average seasonal movie hit! TYG is a great hit! An amazing hit! And I believe that combining Asia, Europe and America and other places can contribute to a great hit in terms of sales! We all know or atleast believe that TYG is going to be a great movie!

I think if Thai people in Thailand can support him and go and watch his movie in the cinema, lets say between 10 and 20 million people(!) Then atleast $10-20 million is made in thailand already! Which is just 10 percent! With the currencies like Europe and America and the prices charged for cinema! I cannot see why TYG cannot get or reach $100 million in sales easily!

But we just need more cinema spaces in the countries we're entering! Like America, we got a good number of 375 cinemas! I think and made like $4.5 million! A very good number! But not the exposure Ong Bak needed! American movies, have atleast 3000 plus cinemas each(Hitch got 3800+!)! An average number! TYG needs atleast an average number of cinemas shown! This could be seen as the hard part! But I don't think it is!

I think TYG needs to be marketted well to grab as many eyeballs as it can get! I'm sure, they do have a great marketing group of people! But I just hope that they hit all the spots to get TYG up where it is deserved!

Anyway, i still think TYG can break $100 million plus!

TYG being a success or not, it mainly depends on the number of countries in which it will be released and the number of copies in each country, besides reviews and words of mouth.

Ong Bak could have been a bigger success in the States if more theaters had shown OB.All in all all, TYG will have a bigger success,owing to OB.I hope that it will have a huge worldwide advertisement to reach a wider audience.

$100 million will be tough to reach.

Yes but Ong-Bak was released only in selected theaters in several country like in the US for example... Also Tony Jaa is much more famous now

yah... since ong bak was his first movie nobody got a heads up on what it was and now since everybody has seen it, it will most definetely make more!

Sia Jiang (the owner) said “we had a very good feedback from the distributors; they came here just to see the trailer and attended the meeting for 40 minutes and took a flight back to their country after the meeting”. “So far, we got $10 million by selling this movie to Korea, China, India and some countries. Yet, the movie is postponed to be released on August 12 ”.

Sia Jiang said “we want it to be released worldwide the same day on August 12, the filme has to be completed 2 months before, the negative film has to be ready. In Europe we can make it released the same day with us, but in the USA we have to see the result and feedback after Ong Bak which will be released this Feb”
