TYG plot is actually complete but it is cut off too much.
จริงๆแล้ว ถ้าทำได้ตามบทเลย ภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้สามารถขายเนื้อเรื่องได้โดยไม่ต้องพึ่งฉากบู๊ของจา
Actually, if the movie follow the story correctly, TYG can compete in the market with only the plot alone.

อยากแนะนำให้ลองหาหนังสือ เบื้องหลังอลังการงานสร้างต้มยำกุ้ง มาอ่านครับ จะมีบทย่อของภาพยนตร์อยู่ประมาณครึ่งเล่ม
I suggest reading the “Behind the scene of TYG”, it has a brief story of TYG.
ถ้าไม่อยากซื้อก็ไปยืนอ่านในร้านซีเอ็ดก็ได้ครับ
If you don’t want to buy you can just read it at Se-ed (a book store :p).
แล้วคุณอาจเห็นว่าบทจริงๆเป็นอย่างไร และใครคือผู้ที่น่ารับผิดชอบในกรณีนี้
And you will see that what actually the plot is and who is responsible to the unsmooth flow problem of TYG.

ฉากสำคัญบางฉากจากเรื่องย่อ ต้มยำกุ้ง ที่ไม่ปรากฏในภาพยนตร์ครับ(spoil)
Some scenes in the story does not appear in TYG.
จากหนังสือ เบื้องหลังอลังการภาพยนตร์ต้มยำกุ้ง ครับ ครึ่งแรกของหนังสือจะเป็นเรื่องย่อของบทภาพยนตร์ต้มยำกุ้ง
As I said, the book has the short story of TYG.
ในความเห็นของผม บทค่อนข้างสมบูรณ์มาก และตอบคำถามหลายเรื่องที่ผมไม่เข้าใจจากภาพยนตร์
In my opinion the story is complete and answer the questions that I don’t understand.
เอาเฉพาะที่สำคัญที่เห็นถามๆกันอยู่ในกระทู้ข้างล่าง ส่วนฉากอื่นๆก็ลองหาอ่านเอาจากหนังสือนะครับ
The following is some questions often asked for the other scene you can find the answer in the book.

1. บทของปลา(ตั๊ก)จำเป็นหรือไม่
1. Is Pla character (Tuk’s character) necessary?
ต้องย้อนถึงมาดามโรสที่บังคับให้ตุ๋ย-เด็กไทยที่ติดยา-ไปยิงมิสเตอร์ซิมกับท่านเลขาตำรวจ
First Ma’am Rose force Tui (Thai boy that is addicted to drugs) to kill Mr. Sim and the big position police
ในวันที่มิสเตอร์ซิมนัดเลี้ยงรับรองท่านเลขาเพื่อต้องการยกฐานะธุรกิจของตระกูลให้ถูกกฏหมาย
In the day that Mr. Sim throw a party for the police so that the police may help legalize his business
จุดประสงค์ในฉากนั้นเพื่อจะขจัดมิสเตอร์ซิมออกจากการควบคุมธุรกิจ แล้วมาดามโรสจะได้เข้าคุมธุรกิจแทน
The target of the scene is to eliminate Mr. Sim so that Ma’am Rose can take over the business
ปลาเป็นนักเรียนไทยที่ถูกจอนนี่บังคับให้เสพยาจนติดและต้องทำงานเป็นเด็กไซด์ไลน์
Pla is a Thai student that Johnny force her addicted to drugs too and become a student prostitute.
วีดีโอที่ท่านเลขาตำรวจถ่ายปลาไว้ก่อนท่านเลขาจะถูกยิงตาย บ่งบอกว่าปลาเป็นบุคคลเดียวที่เหลืออยู่และสามารถเป็นพยานว่าทุกอย่างในวันนั้นเป็นแผนการของมาดามโรส จิมมี่ และวินเซนต์

The VDO that the police shoot Pla before he got shot helps clearing Mark that he is not the murderer and later point out that Ma’am Rose, Jimmy and Vincent are the real murderer.
ปลาจึงเป็นผู้ยืนยันความบริสุทธ์ของจ่ามาร์ค และทำให้ตำรวจออกหมายจับวินเซนต์และมาดามโรสในตอนหลังครับ
So Pla is an important character. Because of her, the police arrest Vincent, and Madam Rose at the end.
[I have read another post, a guy said that Pla must be sexy enough to make that police like her and take her VDO]

2. จอนนี่หายไปใหน
2. Where is Johny?
จอนนี่ยิงวินเซนต์ตายคามือจ่ามาร์ค จ่ามาร์คจึงยิงสวนกลับจนจอนนี่ตายครับ
Johny shot Vincent and Mark shot him back. He finally die.

3. ขาม จ่ามาร์คและขอน หนีออกจากร้านต้มยำกุ้งได้อย่างไร
3. How Kham, Mark and Korn escape from TYG restaurant?
ขาม จ่ามาร์ค และขอน ได้รับความช่วยเหลือจากอาแปะชาวเกาหลีเจ้าของร้านขายของชำที่จ่ามาร์คเคยช่วยแกไว้คราวที่ตุ๋ยบุกปล้นร้าน
An old Korean man (the owner of a convenient store that Mark have helped when Tui robbed) help them escape.
อาแปะขับรถส่งของผ่านร้านต้มยำกุ้งพอดี จึงจอดรับและส่งทั้งสามไปวัดไทย
This old man drive this car pass the restaurant so he stop pick those three guys to the temple.
แต่พอจ่ามาร์คเห็นความผิดปรกติของพวกคนที่มาทำบุญ ก็รู้ว่าเป็นสายลับของมาดามโรส
But when Mark suspect that some of the people there are Ma’am Rose’s spy
จึงกราบลาหลวงพ่อและนั่งรถอาแปะออกมา
So he say good bye to the munk and left
ยังออกไปได้ไม่ไกล ก็เห็นเปลวเพลิงลุกไหม้อยู่ด้านหลัง ซึ่งเป็นบริเวณวัด
Very soon after they left, they see that the temple is caught on fire
จึงรีบกลับมายังวัดและพบว่าหลวงพ่อถูกทำร้าย และวัดถูกเผาครับ
so they return and found that the monk got injured and the temple is burnt.

4. ทำไมพ่อของขามจึงทราบว่างานคัดเลือกช้างเป็นการจัดฉาก
4. How Kham’s dad know that the elephant party is a set up.
เพราะซินแส จอนนี่ และทีเค นั่งรถไปยังงานด้วย ซินแสเข้าไปพิจารณาลักษณะของพ่อใหญ่แล้วพอใจ
Because Sinsee, Johnny and TK is in the party. Sinsee takes a look at Por Yai (the elephant) and he likes it.
จึงมอบเงินก้อนใหญ่ให้เสี่ยสุเทพ พ่อของขามเห็นดังนั้นจึงรู้ทันและจะพาพ่อใหญ่กลับ
So he give Sia Suthap a bit bucks. Kahm’s dad saw that so he know and try to bring Por Yai back.
เสี่ยสุเทพไม่ยอมและบอกจะแบ่งเงินให้
Sia Suthep refused and try to convince him with some money.
พ่อของขามลั่นวาจาไม่ยอมขายช้าง เสี่ยสุเทพจึงยิงพ่อของขามล้ม
Kham’s dad reject so Sia Suthep shot him.

5. ขามตายไหม
5. Is Kham die?
ขอนฟื้นขึ้นมาและเห็นขามค้างอยู่บนงาของพ่อใหญ่ จึงเข้าไปปลุกขาม ทั้งสองช่วยกันเก็บกระดูกของพ่อใหญ่ นำกลับเมืองไทยและทำพิธีศพให้
Korn wake up and saw Kham lie on Por Yai’s trunks so he wake Kham up and They both collect Por Yai’s bones and bring back Thailand.

ผมคิดว่า บทภาพยนตร์ค่อนข้างสมบูรณ์และน่าติดตามทีเดียวครับ แต่อาจเป็นเพราะความจำกัดของเวลาฉาย
I think the plot is complete and interesting but because the limit of show time
ทำให้ต้องเลือกระหว่างบทหรือฉากบู๊ของจา
Because they want to choose Tony Jaa action.
ซึ่งแน่นอนครับว่า เรื่องนี้ ผู้สร้างทราบว่าลูกค้าแทบทุกคนต่างหวังจะเข้าไปดูฝีมือของจา จึงต้องตัดบทหลายส่วนให้น้อยลงครับ
Of course, they know that we all want to see TJ’s action so they cut some of the story.

ในความคิดของผม ถ้าฉากที่หายไปเหล่านี้มีอยู่จริง อีกไม่นานคงมีต้มยำกุ้งversionสมบูรณ์ออกมาครับ
I think the lost scene exists so soon there must be the complete version
ไม่ว่าจะออกฉายโรงหรือออกเป็นdvd สำหรับผม คงจะขอชมอีกรอบครับ
Either shown in the theater or release in the DVD … I will go too see

I haven't seen the movie yet, but WTH... I am willing to be spoiled!!!

I guess the complete version (including those missing scenes) will be released on DVD format. Can't wait for that

It's been along time since this interesting topic was posted.
For me, I consider that the theatrical version of TYG not much flawed, but I also accept that I'd like to see the complete version too.
But it seems that a lot of deleted scenes from TYG will eventually never see their light.
