you should do it! thailand is a great place to visit!! aside from seeing TYG, you should also see if you can attend a cultural event. perhaps classical thai dance or classical thai masked drama! 01_smile.gif

The U.S. distributor better not botch the release of Tom Yum Goong, or I'm gonna send every ninja their way! I'm hopeful yet pessimistic considering their past history with Shaolin Soccer and Iron Monkey. They also screwed up good with Hero as well. I'm disappointed that Sahamongkol sold the movie to Weinsteins. Shows you how messed up things are when people are money hungry. 35_icon_tre.gif

I think the best bet for us folks in No. America is to wait for the DVD, since it's likely that the movie won't hit theaters here till, oh, pigs fly. I am just hoping for a decent transfer of a legit Asian release on DVD, preferably with English subs. But heck, I'll take what I can. 09_dry.gif

Man, do I lose because I am in England? Movies take forever to come out over here. I hope that we get it the same time as the US. Ong Bak was short-lived at the cinema here :( i wanted to see it twice on the big screen! I will see TYG at least twice at the cinema, I am sure.

Just watch for the first release of Tom Yum Goong on DVD Richard. It's likely to be released first in Asia soon, and you can purchase it online. Doesn't matter where you live. Also, to take care of the region code dilemma, simply watch it on a computer or laptop (You can convert it if you're willing to do a little extra work) or simply invest in a good all-region DVD player (one that plays both NTSC and PAL DVDs). Only problem I foresee is that you may want to wait for the DVD version with English subtitle.

Cheers. 01_smile.gif

Yeah, if I watch an Asian DVD, I won't understand entirely what is meant to be going on. I guess I could do the voice over and just assume what they are saying.

"You just saw me kick twenty three people"

"Ha. That is irrelevent to me"

"I don't want to fight you, I just want to eat my lunch"

"There will be time for lunch later. Now fight me"

(fight starts)

"Ah, I am defeated like those other twenty three guys"

"Yes, but I will let you go, since I am such a good guy"

"Ha. You should have killed me, because now I have a gun"

"I kick your gun away then I kick you through a window"

"Damn, he said it and then he did it"

I think my script is awesome! 16_shock.gif Maybe I should contact someone and sell it.
Sawatdee
hehe it could be a good film 04_wink.gif

kool I'm from WA state too...

Dayem...I just read the news about the unconfirmed TYG release for US and it says it could be DEC. 31, 2006 and it's limited.... So sad...I hope the thai version goes on DVD w/ English subtitle before that....

But I'll see it in theater too when it is release.
